Love♡Shine♡Play Festival 2024

Peace...breathe...be… Festival energy can be exhilarating, but can also leave us feeling ungrounded. Start your weekend with your feet rooted on the Earth. We will begin the evening with a meditative sunset hike, treading silently through the woods and towards a beautiful mountain bald. So often we look outward for the answers and forget that sometimes all it takes is the sound of silence.

As the sun sets in the night sky, gentle lunar energy, combined with poetry and guided meditation, will help us to practice the intention of letting go of what no longer serves us. We’ll sip in the moments and, finally, will hike down with new friends under the light of the moon.

Transportation will be provided by the LSP shuttle. Pick-up is at 6:00pm in downtown Asheville at the shuttle pick up near Mountain Air Market, see festival map. If you miss the shuttle, you are responsible for your own transportation. The shuttle will return the group to Asheville by 9:00pm.

SUP Yoga is a great way to hone your skills in a new way and experience your practice as a soul revival on the water. And it’s a lot of fun!!

Whether a total beginner with a spirit of adventure or a seasoned pro who regularly takes practice to the water, SUP Yoga is available to nearly everyone. All classes begin with basic instruction and a thorough safety review with your experienced guides. We’ll hop on a pool-like section of the river, paddle out a short distance as a group, anchor in and begin practice with a guided meditation.

Through asana, static holds, and sacred breath, you’ll find your flow & zen in no time. The class will conclude with a floating savasana followed by an optional meditation paddle …and of course a bit of freestyle playtime and photo ops!

If you miss the shuttle, you are responsible for finding transportation to the river. The shuttle will return the group to downtown Asheville by 11:00am.

The mountains of North Carolina offer breathtaking, ineffable scenery. This did not come from a script or an instruction manual. Nature has a divine way of knowing how to create the most exquisite beauty. As we hike along the trails, we will collect treasures ranging from pine cones to rocks to sticks to feathers to whatever else nature has to offer.

At the culmination of our hike, we will gather to make an offering to our loving Mother Earth by piecing together a mandala with the treasures that we have found along the way. This will be a celebration of the natural artistic ways of this planet and of the beauty of recognizing it. A daypack or bag of sorts is encouraged for your treasure collection along the way.
